The fifth piece from my senior show. 1-to-1 ceramic replica of my childhood TV that I've altered in various ways to bring about a more imaginative design. The video I made to go along with sed piece is on about Connection from the p.o.v. of those whom I have Connection and their thoughts on the matter. The distorted state of the screen displays the feeling of disconnection that society has left us with post-2020.
The piece is titled " Connection" because from my earliest memories, I've had a fascination and connection to technology of all kinds, specifically television and speakers, which are very prevelant as motifs through my exhibition Also, as an only child of parents who were busy workers, the tv became a comfort and sort of companion in my moments of boredom and loveliness.
It has also provided many connections through shared interest in shows and various forms of media amongst a multitude of people, and through shared interest, like that, connections can be made between people, building bonds and bridges in sometimes unlikely scenarios.
