This piece was my take on a whistle jug, keeping the form simple and gourd-like, contrasting it with very bright and boisterous surface work. I began experimenting with creating visual interest through the juxtaposition of matte and shiny on the same surface, glazing music notes all around the flat brown background on this piece.
